It's a New Day

Not a morning dawns, not a day commences - the daily news barges into the start to our days with headlines of rancor, restive citizenry, rebellious young people, reactionary forces and the roiling waves of announcements that weigh us down.

What is the world coming to?  Must its people always engage in that which pulls others down and upsets the calm or serves to nurture seething sentiments of animosity, anger and antagonism?

Let there be peace on earth.

No one is capable of implementing or maintaining peace, however.  Each in his own way fuels the fires of disquiet or unrest by his own predisposition to act selfishly.

But, He came.  he made his dwelling among us.  He has destroyed the barrier, the wall of hostility - between individuals embroiled in unending unforgiveness, between communities and peoples locked in a struggle to not ever forget the wrong done to them by others.  In dying and sacrificing his body he has effected reconciliation and put to death our hostilities.

Servants of this good news we choose to welcome each day with thanksgiving and in confidence that His kingdom is advancing.  Herald this advancement; rise each dawn with New Life in Him coursing through every fiber of your being.
