No biking in view, so...

Though the annual Bikefest apparently was going forward, I preferred not to be on the roads with them on a wet and overcast and cool morning.  Without the wet, a good time to bicycle!

In the meantime I am stuck with finishing a monthly report (now late), attending to a few chores, trying to visit Asset & family, etc.  I may also have a bit of fun with you through the quiz that follows.  In the spirit of "two true, one false" can you identify which are true?

  • I turned off the A/C last Thursday before heading to Maryland and haven't turned it on again as of this morning (10 days).
  • I seldom eat breakfast first thing in the morning any more.
  • I usually add honey to my toast in the morning (something I didn't think of doing or sharing with you in our early years).
  • I watched 1/2 hour of world news the other night - it's called "crashing in front of the tv" - and realized that it added nothing valuable to my life.
  • I did ride 1/2 of the ATC last week (after taking the Honda for servicing), a total of about 24 miles.  Was tired afterward.
  • I do not miss your mother being gone for 12 days.
  • I joined P & R for supper, a short walk and talk, and 1/2 of the movie "42", the latter about Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in MLB
  • I am again called on to "teach American culture", four sessions, in the DCID classroom beginning this coming Tuesday & Thursday. I enjoy it, but continue to feel unsettled and unqualified, I mean, why do they ask me?
  • I am happy to hear that both Samuel and Jack are excited about beginning their formal schooling very soon!
  • I was impressed with Phillip's reading ability.
  • I enjoyed helping Matt with his garage and storage shed projects last week.
  • I was impressed with the "stick-to-itivness" of the Hawkins 4 during the Clark's Run fishing tournament last weekend.
  • The grilled tuna sandwich, where we all ate supper in LaPlata last weekend, was The best ever.
Ok. More than two true, but only one false.

Cheers! (true)

Love this, Dad!

But awww, poor you. Separated once again for 12 days from Mom this summer. Except this time SHE is off, and you are home.

Wait until you visit the diner with the grilled tuna sandwich in La Plata - some seriously good food.

Did Mom say that she missed not seeing Dad for 12 days?
