A bright star is emerging as Adella concludes her fifth week in P.O. What a sweetie, cheeks perfect for a grandpa's smooches. Can you hear her eldest brother plead occasionally, "Can I hold her?" And didn't we catch one of her first smiles in his arms!
The most recent outing took all eight of us, in two vehicles, to Beacon Rock State Park for a hike (600' elevation gain on one mile of trail). The men hiked while the rest enjoyed a lovely picnic area with play equipment nearby.
Then we all treated ourselves to a pizza buffet before settling in for the night - the PO Hawkins in a hotel and M & D with John & Lura Morrow in Battleground, WA. The next morning I was invited to visit a men's group that meets weekly at 6am at Panera for wide open discussion among friends. After that, we joined the ladies to pick blue berries in the Morrow's berry patch (several hundred plants). Fun. Not too hot and not at all humid.

WOW!!! Such fun!
Picnic shot: what is Mom rooting around for? Checking to make sure she brought the potato chips?
Reading her book, and likely pulling out snacks.
