In solidarity with those scholars in the family that are [yet] embroiled in academia we offer the following review of my recent Wheaton visit. During my stay:
- I jogged several times on the network of railroad rights-of-way-become-trails, once getting turned around in "Herrick's Lake Park" such that I went much further than planned.
- I passed "Hawkins Circle" enroute to an evening meeting at a house with the street number of "1406".
- I enjoyed three cups of tea at Carol's tea room with niece, Carol, and nephew, Joel.
- I was a spectator at two Wheaton College soccer matches.
- I was loaned a Chrysler mini-van during my ten day stay.
- I treated my former "boss" at Scripture Press Ministries (1973-76) to breakfast at Seven Dwarfs' Restaurant (still in operation after all these years).
- I was involved in the College Church Missions Fest for 30 hours non-stop.
- When attempting to check-in for my return flight (ORD-RDU) I was issued a boarding pass for "Virginia M. Hawkins".
- The weather was typically gray and chilly.
- For purposes of my own continuing and life-long education I listened to a two-hour presentation on "A Recent History of the Anti-Evolutionism Movement" and viewed an exhibition on John Wesley Powell (first to raft the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon) - both at Wheaton College.
- Bonus: I took many photos.

Three Cups of Tea? Really! What wonderful hospitality.
Sounds like it was a very full visit!
