A Whole Week!

Away from Durham, that is.  Brought to 118k the miles on the Accord while traveling Durham-Mount Holly-Bloomington-Upland, IN-Bloomington-Black Mountain, NC-Mount Holly-Durham.  The reunion of the wondrous class of 1969 at Taylor was good.  (Ask sometime about the item once positioned secretively in Wengatz residence Hall now behind a glass case in the University's Alumni office.)

Even better was a lovely [albeit tooooo quick] stop with Julianna and Jim including worship at Exodus, a stroll on I.U. campus, walk in the neighborhood and a candlelight dinner.  Yum, good bread too - thanks, Jim.  Oh, and the big highlight was seeing up close the actual quarry where parts of "Breaking Away" were filmed.  (The two new residents of Bloomington admit to have now viewed the film; thus, their orientation is about complete.)

They even have fun meeting each other at the coat closet!

Oh, all right, here is a glimpse of the B and B where the two of us stayed for a night.  My, what a huge, delicious breakfast!

Finally, we were wonderfully blessed to spend two full days with fellow ISI staff from the Southeast and the Great Lakes regions.  At the conclusion of the retreat in Black Mountain we two were presented with the "Dan & Tanya Award".  More about that later.  But one more photo of Grm H. with her younger sister, Priscilla.
