Among our "activities": witnessing the Annie Moses Band from 3rd row seats in Wilmington's historic Thalian Hall; eating out several times; walking leisurely in Carolina Beach State Park along the Sugarloaf Trail, including a few overlooks of the Cape Fear River; several afternoon visits to the beach (one of us was in the water "all the way", earliest dip in memory). Photos here.
One more.
After a warm walk on sandy trails at the Park, we stopped at Food Lion for a couple of items to include in our lunch. As we stood at the cold meat counter during the moment of selection, a woman appeared from behind us, tapped your mom on the arm and remarked, "You are so cute!" We both turned, expecting to find someone we knew. We didn't know her. Stunned by her brave, kind and unexpected comment, we stood there speechless. Your mom blushed a bit - No, I didn't - while I continued to figure out who this person was. After all, strangers don't give compliments.... Apparently my surprised look caused the kind stranger to think that I didn't agree or believe her. So she repeated herself as she looked me in the eye, "Take care of this cute lady".
Seriously!
Was it a message from God?

Lovely all around! What a funny story in Food Lion! (I tried to look at your photos but it said "you don't have access" when I clicked the link. I think you have to make it public.)
